Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Outside Plant Engineer to join our team in Gainesville, FL, on a 1099 contractor basis. This is a production pay role, ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. You will be responsible for verifying fiber optic routes, resolving obstructions, and ensuring compliance for permitting as part of our cutting-edge telecommunications projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct fiber optic verification to identify and resolve obstructions along planned routes.
Utilize proprietary software to create and document accurate maps and project details.
Actively participate in virtual project meetings via Microsoft Teams.
Perform physical site surveys, walking up to 5 miles per day, to ensure thorough inspection of fiber routes.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Availability to work locally in Gainesville; local candidates preferred.
Physically capable of walking extended distances daily.
Self-starter with excellent communication and time management skills.
