We have a full-time need for an Underground Foreman. The Underground Foreman is responsible for the overall direction, administration, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects. Manages project scope, budget and schedule to establish operational priorities and maintains satisfactory relationships with construction coordinators, sub-contractors, and vendors.
What you will do:
Supervise, mentor, and train their direct reports and adhere to all company policies and protocols.
Maintain a high knowledge of all current safety regulations.
Understand the project requirements and have the ability to meet project deadlines.
Lead and manage a team of individuals.
Inspect all equipment that is being used and ensure that meets the safety standards.
Ensure that all direct reports that are scheduled are present.
Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget.
Note: Management reserves the right to assign or reassign functions and responsibilities to this job description at any time.
What you will need:
High school diploma or GED required. Some college or vocational training preferred.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
Previous experience in the broadband industry required.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and direct reports.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Must have a working knowledge of construction, the National Electrical Code, OSHA regulations, state and local regulations and general safety standards.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 95 lbs.
Required to lift 32-foot ladder.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
May be required to climb poles (with proper equipment), ladders, and other structures as necessary.
Required to work within limited confines, such as crawl spaces, as needed.
While performing the duties of this job, the Employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The Employee must be able to work in an outdoor environment year around in all weather conditions.
The Employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock, radiation, and vibration.
Employees may be required to work more than 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
