We require at least 5 years of splicing experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked on Windstream’s network and are familiar with general Business-As-Usual (BAU) work. You must be skilled at troubleshooting jobs that deviate from as-built plans. Proficiency in splicing and testing using both SB and OTDR methods is essential.

Applicants must be willing to handle emergency work on at least two evenings per week if needed. Some tasks may go beyond typical splicing duties, such as pulling fiber, digging to place pedestals, or completing related tasks. Our goal is to overcome challenges and deliver for our clients, so flexibility and dedication are essential. You must live in North Georgia or within 20 minutes of the Georgia border.

This job is ideal for an experienced fiber splicer based in North Georgia who wants to stay close to home but is willing to work beyond an 8-hour day when needed. Many projects come with tight deadlines and a sense of urgency, so we’re looking for someone skilled in problem-solving who can handle challenges with support from our supervisors and network engineers. This role is more than just routine splicing; it requires thoughtful, quality work. Occasionally, there will be opportunities to travel for a week at a time as attractive new build projects arise.
