Job Description
The current position we are actively looking to fill is a Fiber Splicer. This position is for an in-house splicer only, no subcontractors. It is important to us that we find someone who has integrity in the work they perform and is able to work on their own or as a part of a team. This full time position will have the opportunity to work a 4 day work week and have 3 day weekends.
Responsibilities for a Fiber Splicer:
• Read and understand splice schematics, prints, maps, and work orders
• Track daily production and accurately as-built completed work
• Setup various enclosures including Preform Coyote, FOSC 450D, and FOSC 600 cases
• Splice single fiber and ribbon fiber up to 864F
• Test fiber optic cables using various test equipment, including OTDRs
• Work occasional nights on scheduled cut overs
• Work an on-call schedule for outages and damages
