Qualifications
· Experience with installation and network upgrades is a plus · Experience in coax, aerial, and fiber construction and maintenance · Proficient in pole climbing and working from hooks or gaffs
Other Requirements
· Must have a valid driver’s license, CDL is a plus · Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather · Experience in coax, aerial, and fiber construction/maintenance · May be required to work long and unpredictable hours · Ability to learn and apply knowledge of electrical principles · Experience in pole transfers of all types · Ability to climb poles and work at heights up to and exceeding 65 ft.
Job Description
The Aerial Lineman performs a variety of duties related to the installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of overhead and/or underground distribution systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following...
· Install, upgrade and repair products
· Run cable in buildings; lash and de-lash existing cable
· Ability to perform all duties of aerial maintenance and line work
· Install and remove various anchors systems
· Ensures all installation work is done according to quality standards
· Assist in the coordination between local utility companies when necessary
· Assists with work overflow
· Follows all company policy and procedures
· Knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and the use of personal protective equipment
· Understanding of emergency restoration protocols
