Qualifications
Minimum 5-7 years of experience working specifically in Network Upgrades or as an Active OSP Fiber Splicer Technician.
Job Description
• Perform field surveys and return accurate as built maps, red lined matrices, and related information.
• Isolate and repair issues affecting light level performance.
• Perform optical OTDR Testing.
• Perform Power Meter Testing.
• Perform DWDM Meter Testing.
• Perform optical fiber splicing to include working in various types of active enclosures, building and installing new enclosures.
• Install DWDM and WDM Mux units in OSP enclosures.
• Perform installation and optimization of RFoG V-Hubs to include installation of 1x32 optical couplers in Distribution Cabinets at Fiber to the Unit/Home New Build locations.
• Perform fiber splicing in Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) to include the installation of new equipment in both aerial and underground locations.
