Job Overview:
As a Fiber I&R Tech, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fiber/copper splicing, troubleshooting, and possess the ability to work independently. This position requires the use of the employee's own vehicle for travel to job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Fiber Optic Splicing: Perform fusion splicing, connection, and testing of fiber optic cables to ensure optimal network performance.
Installation and Maintenance: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic infrastructure in accordance with industry standards and company guidelines.
Documentation: Accurately document splicing and testing results, maintaining comprehensive records for future reference.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with fiber optic equipment and tools.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and reliability of fiber optic connections, identifying and resolving any issues promptly.
Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members, engineers, and project managers to achieve project goals and deadlines.
Vehicle Maintenance: Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the employee's own vehicle used for transportation to various job sites.
Qualifications:

Experience: Proven experience in fiber optic splicing and network installation.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as FOA or equivalent are highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using fusion splicing equipment, OTDRs, and other testing tools.
Driving Requirements: Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for travel to job site .
Safety Conscious: Demonstrated commitment to safety practices in the field.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
