We are seeking Buried Service Wire Technicians in Oregon, specifically Coos Bay & Portland, to perform day-to-day drilling and pullback of various sized conduits for outside plant fiber networks. Most of the work is performed under master service agreements with telecom carriers and regional utilities. The scope of work consists of new builds, maintenance, and restoration in rural and metro areas and the scope of work varies between each job.
What you’ll Do
- Technician must have a valid driver’s license.
- Technicians must have their own tools to perform the job an Android smart phone is required, and a laptop may be required.
- Other equipment may be required by local management.
- Must pass background check and drug test.
- Must be available to work flexible hours. Weekend work may be required.
- Must have a good driving record.
- Must be able to lift 75+ lbs. continuously.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
- Follow all GridSource policies and procedures.
What you’ll need
- Must have their own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack
- Must have their own tools to perform the job. 28’ ladders needed for aerial work
- Android smart phones required
- Must have Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- This includes lace up boots with a defined 1/2-inch heel, a hard hat, a reflective safety vest, a fall resistor, and safety cones.
- Other equipment may be required by local management
- Must be available to work flexible hours. Weekend work may be required
- Must be able to pass Background and Drug screening
- Must have a good driving record
- Must be able to lift 75+ lbs. Continuously
- Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner
