One full year of experience in drilling or locating with Ditch Witch JT20 or comparable Vermeer drills. A clean driving record with a valid US driver's license, US citizens

Job Description
Candidates must possess knowledge of cable construction, especially fiber optics. They should be able to communicate effectively with peers and collaborate well within a team. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment and vehicle records, performing some maintenance tasks, and submitting weekly inspection and maintenance reports to the supervisor. The role requires the ability to load and unload drills and other equipment, as well as assist in securing and cleaning the job site daily.
Applicants should know how to safely expose utilities, be willing to perform potholing, and operate a vactron. They will assist other employees with their duties, have knowledge of utility locating colors and markings, and be familiar with white lining upcoming areas. The role involves dumping the vactron at designated sites and aiding drillers and locators with loading and unloading drills, as well as maintenance tasks.
Drillers and Locators are accountable for all previously mentioned activities, with additional responsibilities for the upkeep and safety of their assigned equipment and job site. They must document all locates/utilities to prevent strikes or hits to underground items. They are required to mark the ground at the end of each drill pipe during boring, familiarize themselves with the area around the bore path, set up the drill, perform drilling and locating with effective communication, and pull back the pipe after the shot is completed. Ground hands will support all drilling aspects while learning to drill or locate.
Maintenance technicians are tasked with the upkeep and repair of various equipment. They must be knowledgeable about heavy machinery, trucks, diesel engines, drills, and vactrons, including mechanical repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities include keeping logs of all equipment and vehicles, diagnosing mechanical issues, and determining the necessary repairs. They are also responsible for managing maintenance costs and records via Excel spreadsheets.
