Qualifications
Must have experience troubleshooting and working with fiber plants, running residential cable and Internet service calls, comfortable in legacy cable headend, comfortable with using both an RF meter and an optical light meter. Optical fiber troubleshooting, terminating, and splicing is a plus.
Other Requirements
Must have own vehicle, valid drivers license, and insurance. Must have own RF and optical fiber tools, includes RF and fiber meters. Good communications skills. Willing to work remotely with established lead technician. Good customer service. Responsible.
Job Description
Searching for an experienced technician to work as a 1099 service technician/contractor on an MDU property in Bladensburg, Maryland. The contractor will be asked to perform, but not limited to, residential cable and internet service calls, run coax cable inside units, troubleshoot and maintain fiber plant, troubleshoot and maintain legacy headend with TV antenna.
