Qualifications
Ability to terminate Cat6 jacks and plugs. Termination of SC/APC fiber optic connector types, mechanical ok, fusion spliced pigtails preferred. Ability to replace wireless access points and switches. Ability to work with remote networking support to troubleshoot networking and infrastructure problems. Understanding of wireless signal and the ability to test and complete speed testing.
Other Requirements
Cat6 tester, optical light meter that can measure , fusion splicer or optical connector termination kit for SC/APC style connectors, lap top, and basic install tools.
Job Description
Looking for a service contractor to complete install and service work at Jacksonville area MDU sites. These sites have either Cat6 or SM fiber unit homeruns and SM fiber optic outside plant and riser cabling. The tickets are currently being worked and scheduled twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday. Good customer service skills a must in talking with office and customers. Open to training the right canidate if lacking some of the skills and providing test equipment if needed.
