Job Description
We're hiring a Directional Drill Operator and a HDD Locator with experience operating Ditch Witch drills and Subsite Locators.
Operate and Locate for Horizontal Directional Drill for installation of underground conduit.
Ensure safety of the public and other utilities underground facilities.
Assist in potholing with HydroVac and other means as necessary.
Assist with setting hand holes and completing tie-ins.
Ability to Read and Comprehend utility locates.
Perform heavy manual labor.
Be able to lift 70 lbs ocassionaly.
Set equipment up including the drill, water tanks and grounding the machine.
Ability to properly formulate and mix drilling mud for the site conditions
Ability to perform proper reaming and pull back methods for existing conditions.
Ability to properly clean and maintain the equipment, check fluid levels, and conduct a visual inspection of vehicle/equipment to assure your vehicle/equipment is performing at optimum safety, perform the required pre-trip, post trip inspections and the required reports, perform needed maintenance including winterizing equipment.
Communicates with Supervisor daily to turn in required reports.
Follows specifications for the job and company policies.
Comply with safety procedures on and off the project site.
Must have a current class A CDL or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire date.
