Pay
Pay for this role starts around $21/hour. Individuals with direct experience or education can certainly earn more. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus! (Payout terms apply)
Qualifications
6 + months of experience related to the construction of buried and aerial utilities -OR- current military service, or prior military service with honorable discharge. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, remain eligible for DOT requirements and possess the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s.
Other Requirements
Basic understanding of telecommunication products and services. Must be able to operate vehicles with manual transmissions. Upon hire, must successfully complete customer-specific requirements, which may include a background check. Physical requirements may vary based on company needs: Ability to dig, lift and climb. Requires being available for on-call/standby responsibilities and may require occasional travel.
Job Description
The Field Service Technician-Construction I position performs the general labor associated with outside plant cable construction. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with the installation of communications facilities (both buried and aerial). Work is performed in accordance with state and local regulations in a safe manner.
