Come on guy, the fiber optic portion of the HFC system run flat, flat at the input of the opt. TX and flat out of the opt. RX. Usually the 10 dB slope for 750 MHz system or the 12 dB slope for 870 MHz system. That slope is usually introduce after the first IC of the RF system. Putting an EQ at the input of the RF module will cause excessive noise on the lower part of the band.
