You were fortunate to pay your people. I was 7 weeks into this project and 30 days out on my first check. You know as well as I do that if you don't have a crew, it is hard to get on a project. We are all in the same boat. He was an add on because they fired another crew and I took him in. I paid for his motel bill for several days and even had to put fuel in his truck for him to work. This is not an excuse. My friends that didn't get paid realize that when I get paid, they will get paid. This was a team effort. At 10% retainer and 10% off the top, I wouldn't have made much money anyway. This guy was down and out and I tried to help him. It is unfortunate but sh** happens. As for SpanPro, to this day, they tell me I will get paid. I trust them, but then I don't!
