Re: YEARS BEHIND

Never used Trilithic but if the cable co has wavetek in the
headend with pathtrak it's hard to beat I've done lots of this
type of work for at&t for their bert testing have used a man in the headend with a anlyzer and the wavetek(acterna) gear
most of the time pathtrak works very well. Nothing I've found
works 100 percent of the time you have to adept and overcome

TO DO RETURN BALANCE WE USE 1 OF 2 WAYS WE GO TO THE END OF THE LINE AND INJECT 42DB AND BALANCE THE RUN LIKE THAT ENSURING THAT WE HIT EACH AMP WITH 17DB, OR WE SET A SPECTRUM IN THE HUB AND INJECT 42DB BACK TO THE HUB AND PAD UP OR DOWN FROM THERE. IF WE FIND A NODE WITH A LOT OF INGRESS OR COMMON PATH WE WOULD START AT THE NODE PULL EACH FILTER TO FIND THE SIDE ITS COMING FROM. WE WOULD GO FROM THE TRUNK TO THE BRIDGER AND ON TO THE LINE EXTENDER AND THEN FINALLY TO THE TAPS. ANY SUGGESTIONS TO HELP WITH EFFICIENCY.
