the best schooling there is is to get a job as grunt, then to a tapper, and on. there are too many schooled techs out here who dont know crappola if you know what i mean.
find a good company who will pay you to learn as you go.
you can learn to core pretty quick but theres allot more to splicing. if your interested email me, i could prob help you out as to a good company to start with, if your interested in the west coast.
