Actually, Ray didn't say what kind of LNB he had, Dual or single. You're both right. A dual LNB is required for 2 or more rx's. FC13, a powered multiswitch is not required if a max of 4 rx's are needed. 4 port switches are usually passive and are widely available from a multitude of manufacturers. 8 port switches are generally powered for residential applications, which is what Ray is probably using this for. Though the power supplies are often sold seperately. The HFS splitters you're referring to are generally used for stacked LNB's, which Holland  makes. There are as Sweeptek said, 16 and 32 port switches that are passive and require a launch amp to lock the polarities but are mainly used for Head Ends or L- Band systems.
