You will find that Comcast does not know telephony or are willing to spend any capital or absorb any additional expense for a telephony install. When MediaOne launched telephony in the market I work we took every step to "do it right" from network engineering to the final mile (90v powered drop). We trained our in-house staff to understand twisted pair and limited contract labor installs when we could. When Comcast came in the door the "premium" aerial/ug install went out the door!! All training, marketing, engineering and customer education on cable phone service stopped. So....what's in store for your future in Comcast switched telephony.
