Here's the danglin' deal as I see it, remember, I am not right in the head so take what ya need and leave the rest.
I just got home today from working out of town doing installs. After having just had some decent splicing work come to a close I was having a real hard time looking at the time I spent on one residential install knowing that by splicing prices I would have made twice as much if not more in the same time frame. Reality check. Being as how other work has dried up for the time being I consider myself lucky to have the ability to jump from one aspect of cable work to another with only a minimal equipment change on my truck.
The point I'm trying to make is if you have the capability to do any work offered and don't have yerself deluded with the get rich quick atittude, you'll do just fine.
It's all pink on the inside??
> I think you will find that installs will come naturally to you. You already know about loss and the other properties of catv wich is a good percentage of the battle. As far as the numbers go if you stay organized you will profit about $800 a week after all is paid for. And I know some sat installers doing about the same. Most do two jobs a day some three. Ive been back and forth between U/G const aerial const splice and activation mit and sweep. It all sucks about the same, (just kidding) Good luck
