Re: Stealthware and Windows XP usb connection.


I know that the serial cable that comes with the stealthware is not wired the same as a storebought cable. If your adapter is off the shelf it won't communicate properly. There should be a wiring diagram of the patch cord with your stealthware. We were able to put one together relatively inexpensively with a trip to Radio Shack. You may be able to re-splice the serial end of your adapter and make it work.

Windows XP does not recognise stealth and the stealthware (version 7) does not recognise USB. I have used all the com ports at different baud rates and yes I changed the settings on the meter to match the baud rate and I can not get a link.
