what kind of equipment is it used for? does it pad down the signal? is the ac blocking a must? i always build the probes that we need from job to job, is this possible with this probe?

It's spring loaded for a good connection and is ac blocking.This is great for sweep or noise floor work. I don't know who makes it, and the person that gave it to me can't remember where he got it.
