Re: Stealthware and Windows XP usb connection.

John,

I have several serial devices that I communicate to XP via a USB-serial Hub/converter. I use it for talking to an Avantron analyzer all the time. Here is a link to the actual device.

It's pretty simple, and XP will recognize the hub, and emulate a serial port. As far as the Acterna software question??? It sounds like you've been able to load your software to the PC, but just can't make the devices talk.

Let me know.

> Has anyone used a usb connector (with a serial adaptor on the other end) to download sweep data from a SDA 5000? I have a notebook that has usb and no serial ports. Windows XP does not recognise stealth and the stealthware (version 7) does not recognise USB. I have used all the com ports at different baud rates and yes I changed the settings on the meter to match the baud rate and I can not get a link.
