Re: Stealthware and Windows XP usb connection.


All of our meters will down load with an USB connector (with
serial adaptor on the other end) except the SDA 5000's. Had to
order a cord from Acterna. I tried everything else, this was
the only one that worked. Price was $45 that was about 2 years
ago.
You may have to contact Acterna to see if they have a program
that is compatible with windows XP. I'm not sure if they do. For
now we keep computers with windows 2000 for the purpose of down
loading.

Windows XP does not recognise stealth and the stealthware (version 7) does not recognise USB. I have used all the com ports at different baud rates and yes I changed the settings on the meter to match the baud rate and I can not get a link.
