You may want to chack your sources. The CATV side of the AOL/TWC deal isn't the problem. AOL is a major fiasco and so they are planning on spinning off the cable side as Time Warner Cable...an IPO of it's own.
As for advance/newhouse deal; they already took back 2.3 million subs however they didn't dissovle the partnership. Newhouse took over day to day ops of the cable systems they took back but they gave up ownership interest in the HSD operation of RR.
TW is still overseeing those systems in the grand scheme of things for now.
FYI.
