if another oppinion counts, I would not hire any swinging coax flunky to run my fiber. running strand can be tricky and or dangerous but just about any half assed cable dick can run a couple spans of coax. if they hose it up basically you can drop it roll it up and toss in a dumpster then run it again, fiber can and is very unforgiving .. of coarse being the lineman you are you already know this.. might i suggest the next time you have a 120 count fiber run that is 16,000 feet long with 13-90's and 2 underground dips, you let your ground hand plan and put it up after all he's at least seen it done before... and if he ruins it you pay for the splice or splices or the whole reel for that matter. I don't mean to sound so sarcastic but experience is what daf*** a fiber lineman is.. in my opinion
