My husband's been with "the baggage" as you call it and certainly wasn't making big bucks. The so-called "glory" position just resulted in mega hours at a salaried position. That is why he went to subcontracting.
And as for who he has talked to about what they're making, he has spoken directly to some of the guys he worked with, and they are not happy with where they are or what they are making. Maybe "your" particular guys are working in a different state. And lucky you if you get paid every Friday. Perhaps each branch of Orius works differently.
