Re: Finally getting out of CATV!

We are heading in that direction also...my hub worked for a sub of Mediacom also and had to wait a few months for his check. As it is, the gig he did in IL was another Mediacom job and we are still waiting for payment on that one too - it is only about 8 weeks overdue. Good luck to you. Know that there are others not far behind.

> I made my decision this week too. Got my stuff up for sale and moving on. It's sad to give it up after 20 years, cause I love cable. My last job was with Mediacom where we had to do everything for nothing. I can't keep losing money daily. The industry will lose a lot of great people. Good luck to you and yours.(beerchug)
> > Can't take these low *ss prices anymore. Actually, I won't take these low *ss prices anymore. I've got a job with an auto contractor. I get to work inside, out of the cold, and I don't have to climb poles (although it was fun) for nothing anymore! No more trudging through bryars, climbing mountains, trees, or having to listen to the boss telling me to do 1 span'ers to the point where I can't pay my rent. No more bucket truck breaking down. No more loading that damn trailor or screaming at the grunts that should've been doing it. No more getting in arguments with the warehouse guy because he doesn't have the supplies I needed. Don't have to worry about people giving my gravy work out to someone else. I'm out! WOOOOHOOOOO!
