10/13/02Presently, At Last Enterprises is in need of an aerial sub-contractor for a job in the Fort Davis, Texas area. This job will not be paid at our previously distributed prices. We are asking for contractors to submit bids for the entire project. Proof of General Liability Insurance will be required before job is issued. This job will consist of the following:
Placement of 24 poles (25’-30’) – 15 of which are not vehicle accessible.
Placement of 32 anchors/guys using ¾” rod or larger.
Removal of 7 downguys.
Placement of approximately 1125’ of 25pr self supporting cable.
Placement of approximately 13087’ of strand and 25pr cable.
Cleat buried cable (already placed) up poles in 12 locations with U-guards.
Place 4 spans of 6pr aerial drops.
Job is located on Route 17 between Balmorhea and Fort Davis north of Ranch Road 1832. Job continues on Ranch Road 1832 west of Route 17. All contractors should be aware that approximately 80% of cable placement is not vehicle accessible. Job is located in very rugged terrain. Poles and cable will be running between Rock Hills and Canyons. Cable spans will be between 400’-600’ in length. Some poles are located on raised cliffs, and VERY difficult to access. PLEASE understand that this job consists of some of the roughest cable running we have ever seen. Only provide a bid if you are sure you can handle this type of new construction. Job start date is 10/23/02 and projected completion will be 11/11/02. Placement will be Telephone cable with no splicing or digging of any kind required. All bids must be submitted by 10/17/02 with at least two business references attached (references will include company name, contact person, address, phone number, and work performed). There will be a $2500.00 retainer upon bid acceptance, returnable upon completion. Payment on this job will be 45 days from invoice/completion. All work being performed is for SBC/Southwestern Bell.
