I have been around about 15 yrs. and don't claim to know everything about cable. I have done everything from constrution to digging holes. If someone walked up to me and said that they were there to splice, I would throw them a map and first prove to me that they could read it and then ask where there tools were.If they didn't have any, I have them to go find them and then come back so I could see what they could do.Just my thoughts.
