here is the best advise i can give you first dont work for a small company unless you get good references first!!!!!!!!! two ;if you are going to be a lineman you must stay in shape ,stretch your musles good before work and after every day . third keep track of your footage every day. dont do drugs it may be what alot of the guys do but if you get hurt on the job and they do a drug test you are out of luck, you could be dissabled for life and you will not collect any benifets or medical benifits fourth do a good job any job worth doing is worth doing wright. fifth learn all you can remember if you think you know it all you are only fooling and cheating yourself. as far as supervisery position, it takes a few years [how many] all depends on you and the company you work for.and last and not at all least important be safe, take an exta second to use your head, think it through ,most of the time it is very worth it[you cant make$$$$$ in the hospital.    good luck and be carful !!!  jiggymon.
