Re: Seeking advice from real lineman....

First: Get rid of the ladder...!!!

Second: Be a man of your word...!

Third: Find ya an old dawg that's willing to teach ya. And LISTEN to him...He didn't get to be an old dawg by fakin' it or fallin' off poles.......(Although, everyone burns at least one..!)

Fourth: Be ready to spend a couple years or more with him...Learning how to get up a pole is one thing...But becoming a "Hook" takes awhile....It doen't become second nature overnite...

Fifth: NO WHINING...!.!.!

Hopefully ya won't have to deal with alot of the dishonest contractors and subs... You'll develop an ability to tell the difference between who's full-o-sh** and who's not.

Remember to pay attention to your instincts. If something bothers your stomach, it's probably not the right thing to do....

....and have fun...It's a great industry and a beautiful country to travel in....

Later,

SD
