Chill out!!! The footage rate is good for the right person obviously means if you know what you are doing you'll make good money.....why pay big $$$ for some "poor slob" that does poor work? The contractor posting the job doesn't know you any more than you know him - so of course he is cautious. Wouldn't you be? Think about it - if the shoe was on the other foot - would you post a rate before talking to a potential candidate to see what he's worth paying?(idea)
