First what part of Arkansas are you in? Why are you using a peice like a Gateway? I am in Clarksdale Ms. and we use many modems. If the sub leases a modem it is a Surf Board 4100 and they are simple to install. I work for Cable One and I will tell you if the PC is using  WIN ME it is a royal  pain in the ass! USB is not recognized and the drivers have to be downloaded. Our system uses computer dealers for install becouse of the liabilty of the computer. Soem people were ment to have them and some were not! Be careful what you are getting into. We charge 33.00 for an install. The service for home is 34.95 and 49.95 depending on the bandwidth you want. For small business it is 99.00. The first is 400Kbps up and  256Kbps dwn. Secon and third is 800Kbps up and 400Kbps down. Small business allows for a static ip. The other are leased.
