Sounds like you're trying to provide industry standards? every system you go in to will have their own. having learned the hard way, I suggest anyone starting work for a contractor get specifications,in writing, with diagrams,before they start the job. If you do it per specs, you have no problem. If your contract provider can't give you specs he cannot gig you! If you're working for someone unwilling to provide the specs off the bat, I guarantee they're fixin' to stick it up the ol' Wazoo!!! document everything. get in the habit of it and you're ten steps ahead of the game.
