> • Reviews installation specifications, building permit, manufacturer''s instructions, and government ordinances to determine installation site.
> • Visually inspects installation site to identify obstructions, such as trees or buildings, that could distort or block signals from satellite.
> • Discusses site location and construction requirements with customer.
> • Assembles and attaches dish and components.
> • Climbs ladder to install when area is inaccessible from ground.
> • Orients dish to direction and altitude of communication satellite.
> • Solders connections to electronic controls.
> • Connects dish and television set to signal converter control box.
> • Performs off air broadcast network signal strength test, per guidelines.
> • Tests installed system for conformance to specifications.
> • Observes picture on television screen to evaluate reception.
> • Instructs customer in use of equipment.
> • Replaces or repairs defective parts.
> • Constructs pole or roof mounts for antenna base.
> • Installs dishes and related equipment to receive satellite signals for such purposes as video, telephone, telex, facsimile, data, or radio communication.
> • Ensures that documentation is effectively completed and submitted, as appropriate.
> • Contributes to revenue through appropriate upsales.
> • Accurately maintains van inventory.
> • Ensure that the highest quality of service is provided to promote superior customer satisfaction.
> • Adheres to safety guidelines and requirements.

> Requirements:
> Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Working knowledge of satellite/television installation services preferred. Must be willing to work flexible hours. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Valid drivers license with good driving record. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
