this is not a public notice...you have to put in the newspaper what is called an order of publication, not post on the bar. try a mechanics lien...it needs to be in the state you were contracted with him to do business or in the state he does business from. i personally would chose the state u worked in if he is no longer there because its more time costly to him. no lawyer required, you can get the info and papers from the court clerk...make sure it is not longer than 120 days after you last did work for him or you are SOL. good luck.
