Re: Cabl MOM, hand in there
I agree. I dont think that all dawgs are dogs. There are men and woman in every field,state,town,etc... that dont provide financial support for their children. Whether it was a failed marriage or a "mistake" there are too many children growing up without both parents contributing in some way.In my own situation, I have the "cable daddy" who has the knowledge and experience to suceed in this industry,as proven previously but has told me he refuses to make the money due to his support order. He has enough money to pay for a really good attorney (I dont)but lacks the "funds" to pay for support. What he fails to realize is that his support is needed to feed and raize his child-not to buy me an "easier life". I dont ask the court for more than I need, nor do I even ask for all that IS intitled to me yet this dawg (dog) insists he cannot (or will not) help support this child. It is a constant battle that I am sure will continue until our child is 18.Doesnt the guilt get to him at all? The shame? Nevertheless my point is that my story is everywhere. In every industry,in every county-not just CATV.I think it has more to do with the amount of money being made verses seeing a portion of it go to a child unwanted by the person unwilling to be a parent.(Atleast in my situation.)
Praize to the real dawgs who are "doing their part".
> I take offence to the comments you made in your post, my X-wife left myself and our daughter just two weeks after our daughters second birthday, I raised my little girl by myself for two years without the luxury of family and friends to help, all the while I worked full time building cable and making a great living for my little girl, now I am remarried and have two more kids, all living in the house I bought with my wife and I, and let me tell you I happen to know more deadbeat dads not in cable than I do in cable, and by the way I recieved a letter from my x telling me that she would make more money from child support than she does working so she filed for custody after the first eight months of being gone, but the judge had a different feeling so I still have full custody of my little girl, and by the way her mother was ordered to pay child support about four and a half years ago, yet I have not seen one cent of it, also I have allowed her to call collect to speak to out little girl, guess what, she does'nt call. so just to inform you, not all deadbeat parents are fathers and not all deadbeat parents work in the cable field, oh and one more thing there uneducated people working in every type of work in this world, but there are also quite a few very intelligent people working in catv.
