> I have to agree with with every word your saying, I ran a construction job where there was three other primes, the project mgr. for the customer kept telling myself and my superiors that we were the only contractor he wanted on the job and that he wanted to fire the others, but you know that had never happened, we finished the job gig free and the other three primes spent between two and eight months fixing gigs yet the one contractor who had the most gigs moved on to be the only prime on another project of the same customer and the customer kept telling me he had wished he had given us the contract.
> Another thing happening to this business is all the primes hiring subs and not paying, and subs hiring subs and not paying, let me tell you of a great man, Matt Decker Owner of E&M Com. this poor guy drove his trucks to Washington on a false promise, he then went to Oregon for the same person to try to make his money back, after his trucks were sabotaged and the money turned out to be 10 cents a foot less than promised, he bailed and has not been paid to this day for it, he then went to a job in Dallas, worked for seven weeks, ruined two trucks and has not been paid, but through all this he has paid every employee what he promised out of his pocket even though he himself has not been paid, I have lost faith in the industry that I love so much and the work I have dedicated my life to, I am now very seriously thinking about getting out of cable, but it's the people like Matt Decker that have kept me in for so long, but I am loosing faith wondering if there are just not enough Matt Deckers out there to keep the honest and true quality cable dogs working, it seems as though our business is being over run with the thieves and the back stabbers, therefore I think a cable union would be in every honest hardworking cable dogs best interest. I also think it would be in everyones best interest to have a post of known thieves as well as a post of known companies that don't pay.
