Re: Sweeping Return on GI Gear - Test point comp

You are right I did not show the Staus monitoring injection point and I did not also showed ethier the 20 dB return test point. These 2  will add about another 2.2 dB loss where the input signal at the IC will now be around 6.5 dBmV. The actual loss toward the next amplifier will be 30 dB of cable at 750 MHz,  about 1600 feet, at  40 MHz, with P-III-650 the loss will be 16 x 0.4 = 6.4 dB, plus loss of output test point 1.2 dB and input filter another 1.2 dB. Let do the calculation. + 6.5 dBmV at return IC + 30 dB Gain = 36.5 dBmV. If you do not pad the return output, you'll hit the next input return with 36.5 - 1.2 - 1.2 or 34.1 dBmV, where you require a +15.00 dBmV input.

Hope this help. Had bad flight from Montreal to Chicage and from Chicago to San Antonio, should have taken about 5 1/2 air time it took 12 hours.
