> Spend the Summer traveling specific regions of the US working on a project to connect remote kiosks to main building with a small fiber cable. Duties include installing conduit, and pulling 6-count fiber cable into building through conduit and ceiling drop. Termination with a mechanical fiber connection, connection to existing equipment. An additional mechanical termination/connection will be made at the remote kiosk. Connection will be tested and commissioned by using the kiosk. Prior experience working with fiber connections is required, along with safety knowledge. It is anticipated that 1 to 2 sites per day will be completed. You will go to a new site each day, and have weekends off. After a short training period you will be assigned as part of a 2-person crew, leave on the circuit route through the assigned region returning when all sites are complete. An hourly rate will be paid(approx. 40 hrs/week), along with a per diem for your meals/lodging expenses. Professional construction dress is expected (no cutoffs/tank tops etc.). Understanding of safety procedures and compliance is expected. Must submit to pre-employment drug screen.
