Underground Construction Summer Labor
Spend the Summer traveling specific regions of the United States working on a project to connect remote kiosks to main building with a small fiber optic cable. Duties will include operating a concrete/asphalt saw to cut a small trench in the parking lot in which the six-count fiber cable will be installed. You will then cover the trench with a special epoxy to complete the work. It is anticipated that one site per day will be completed. You will go to a new site each day, and have weekends off. After a short training period you will be assigned as part of a three-person crew, and leave on the circuit route through the assigned region. You will return when all sites are complete. You will be paid an hourly rate (anticipate 40 hours per week), along with a per diem for your meals and lodging expenses. Due to the nature of the assignment it is very important that you are able to get along with your co-workers. Professional construction worker attire is expected (no cutoffs/tank tops etc.). Good understanding of safety procedures and compliance is expected. Must submit to pre-employment drug screen. Please provide a resume or description of work history/education via e-mail to (-REDACTED-) for consideration. Please state preferred region (Midwest, Southeast, Southwest).
