In a high hazard business like this the only sane choice is to either incorporate or form a limited liability company (LLC). If you incorporate, take a Subchapter S election and you will still pay no federal corporate taxes. There may be state tax consequences. The LLC is federally taxed as a partnership or sole proprietorship, depending on whether or not you have a partner. Good luck!
