The formula varies, if you are using 1310 nm then it's 0.5 ps / the square root of km.

If you are using 1550 it is 0.2 ps/ the square root of km. Anything greater than these values adds to the PMD..distortions.

Andy, I think these are the right formulas. I can look it up if there not.....it's been a while
