Let say that your last active (usually a line extender) must have 40 Volts AC or better, because of a problem on the coaxial side of the HFC system, if this voltage drop below 40 VAC, you`ll get hum on this last active and any TV set after this point. When this problem happen you must fix the problem where the last active will get 40 VAC or better.
