He was alluding to the fact that it is somewhat unethical to threaten an individual by exercising the limited power that your wife may or may not have in her position with the I.R.S. Ethics aside, It is illegal to use that power to satisfy some ill feeling that you have toward another or to threaten to do so. If your wife is aware of these threats she could lose her job. I suggest you rethink some of the things you are writing before you find yourself in a situation that you didn,t foresee.
