Re: Here's a poll for mappers, designers, etc. The future of the business


From what I see things are going to be slow for at least a few years. The economy will probably need to pick up first. Companies lost alot of money in the stock markets the past couple years and will probably postpone building any new systems and will make do with what they have for as long as possible. What was mapped a couple years ago is now being built(in line that will slow also). Mapping, drafting, designing are all getting slow. There are jobs out there but most are scattered. All systems need upgraded. When the economy is good everyone does it, when it's not they don't. Then they all need redone at the same time again next time. When they need it again and they have the money, pay will be good again. Just my opinion.
