Re: Canadian recruiting question...

By: Dan Smith ( (-REDACTED-) )

I have a TN as well as my partner and a few of my friends,
If the person is qualified, they will have to get a TN as a SCIENTIFIC TECHNICIAN to do this they have to be in the cable industry for some time and have all their certificates available as well as any documents that may prove they have theoretical knnowledge. I got over using fiber optics where as I have had many courses.
The company doing the recruiting has to write a letter of intent that says how long your company has been in business, a background of the business, where it is locaated, how much the person will be making, ect.

Have any of you been successful in attaining TN-1 or H-1 visas for cable technicians? TWC would not be opposed to sponsoring someone but so far the steps seem a little steep.
Any help/experience/horror stories would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Steven Nichols
