Just be ceratin that the utility requesting the survey will accept the program that you use and that they tell you the safety factor percentage that they will accept. It is true that these programs are very difficult to gather complete data to input. You almost need to be an Overhead Electrical Transmission and Distribution Engineer in order to know all the geegaws that electric utilities use.If you're working with AEP they will give you the software and some field training.
