We are currently looking for talented hands on Outside Plant Construction Quality Control Technicians to join our team. The positions are as individual contractors to Scientific Atlanta.
Job description for
Construction Quality Control
Ø Will report to designated Project Manager
Ø Will monitor daily activities of all construction crews, to assure proper construction practices take place.
Ø Will fill out daily gig sheets of discrepancies found in the field, and will turn these in daily for corrective action to the Construction Manager.
Ø Will monitor and document safety issues as they arise. Will report safety violations to the Construction Manager.
Ø Will maintain a pace of work that keeps the QC Tech right behind the construction crews.
Ø Will maintain a professional presence and demeanor, and will represent the company always.
Ø Will fill out and turn in daily reports.
Skills-
Substantial prior experience with cable system construction, both aerial and underground.
Knowledge of applicable OSHA codes and application of standards.
Ability to handle multiple duties and to meet deadlines. Good organizational skills.
Computer literate
Ability to read and understand CATV/TELCOM maps.
Ability to travel.
Ability to generate as-built maps and similar documentation.
Ensure a quality installation within specifications.
